Inspired by visual artist Manabu Ikeda’s work of the same name, Rebirth serves as a sequel to Foretoken and draws imagery from Japan’s ongoing recovery effort from the 2011 Tohoku tsunami and earthquake. It is rooted in themes of fall and recovery, and in the power we each hold to lift each other up.
