THE OPEN INTENSIVE

Artistic Director Cameron McKinney and Kizuna Dance company members are thrilled to offer the NYC dance community a WEEK of FREE, DAY-LONG Contemporary Floorwork Intensives through our Open Intensive Program. Program is open to both pre-professional and professional dancers. Our most recent intensive was August 23 - 27, 2021.

THE EXPERIENCE:

  • Take up to TWO full intensive days for FREE

  • Experience the company's mix of floorwork, streetdance, and capoeira

  • Develop new methods of choreography

  • Reconnect with the dance community in a welcoming space

ABOUT:

Each day consists of a morning technique session from and an afternoon choreographic session. Participants can register through the button below for up to TWO of the five full days, OR just the morning technique session. A "full day" is defined as a morning and afternoon session on the same day (which means you would participate in BOTH the morning and afternoon sessions on both of the selected days.) Registering for any more than two days will result in you only being registered for the first two available sessions you selected.

Participants will be required to show proof of COVID vaccination.

Housing and transportation in and to NYC is not provided.

Limited Capacity Available for each day of the intensive.
